Cordoba (updated)

Here are the pictures that we couldn't get off my phone back in the spring. These are from our trip to Cordoba with Sue.

We went for a walk along the Guadalquivir river and across the Roman Bridge.

Cordoba is famous for its patios with their hanging planters.

After months of only seeing Cruzcampo we were excited to try some craft beers at Califa Brewery.

The Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba started out as a Catholic church built by the Visigoths. When the Muslims conquered Spain in 711 it was divided and used half as a church, half as a mosque. In 784 it was demolished and a mosque that we see today was built on the spot. After the Catholics took back Spain during the Reconquista it was converted back to a Catholic church
