Kloeppel's in Spain: Barcelona

In Barcelona we went to La Sagrada Familia, the most beautiful Cathedral ever.

Gaudi, the architect who designed La Sagrada Familia drew a lot of his inspiration from nature and designed the columns of the church to look like trees in a forest.

It's so stunning how the stained glass illuminates the church. One side of the church is lit up blue and green, and the other side orange and red.

The view from the tower.

Gaudi made this upside down model of the cathedral using strings and sand bags.

This building is a school that's on the church property.

We also went to Park Guell, which was also designed by Gaudi.

We happened to be in Barcelona for La Merce, the city's festival. Here is a procession of giants walking through Las Ramblas street.

And the famous Las Ramblas street performers.

And we finished up with a relaxing afternoon at the beach!
