The children who were not in the processions ran around trying to find their friends who held the candles. They had their friends drip wax from their candles to create big wax balls.
Easter baskets (and Easter eggs) are not really a thing here, but some kids carried baskets full of prayer cards to hand out. On Easter, some carried baskets of lilies which you could receive for a small donation.
The streets were covered in wax droplets from four days of candles.
This little girl is one of the children from town who are infatuated with Yuki. She goes to the colegio (elementary school) so she isn't one of my students.
A little before the procession ended at the church, they stopped in the Plaza. The people carrying the statues brought Jesus and Mary to face each other and they danced while the town cheered and threw flower petals from above.
